Holiday Appreciation for Our ÎÚÑ»ÊÓƵ Family

Dear campus community,

As the year draws to a close, I want to take a moment to thank you for the care, professionalism and commitment you bring to the ÎÚÑ»ÊÓƵ at Lafayette each day. The holiday season invites reflection and gratitude, and I am deeply appreciative of the ways you support our students, serve one another and sustain the institution.

We have faced challenges over the past year, but our ÎÚÑ»ÊÓƵ has continued to move forward because of your work — in classrooms and offices, laboratories and studios, on the field of competition and across every corner of campus. Your dedication has mattered, often in ways that are not visible but that are deeply felt. I am grateful for your steadiness, your adaptability and your belief in the mission we share.

As an expression of thanks for that work, and in the spirit of the season, the ÎÚÑ»ÊÓƵ will provide employees with a complimentary meal at Cypress Lake Dining Hall in lieu of our traditional holiday lunch. This gift is made possible through the generosity of the UL Federal Credit Union, with additional sponsorship from Sodexo. We are thankful for their partnership and their support of our employees.

Each complimentary meal will be added to your Cajun Card beginning Jan. 10 and may be used anytime through June 2026.

To add a bit of holiday cheer, employees who redeem their complimentary meal will be entered into a drawing for one of three cash prizes —$100, $50 or $25, courtesy of the UL Federal Credit Union.

I am hopeful that we can come together as a campus community to celebrate the holiday season next year, as we have done in the past.

Thank you for the work you do, the care you show and the role you play in strengthening this ÎÚÑ»ÊÓƵ. I hope the weeks ahead bring rest, connection and renewal, and that the new year brings continued purpose and promise.

Happy holidays —and here’s to a great year ahead!
